Masquerade Theatre: The Music Man

The Music Man follows the exploits of Harold Hill, fast-talking salesman extraordinaire, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into forming a youth band, despite the fact that he knows nothing about musical instruments! The plan works and Hill is ready to skip town with all the cash, but he is unexpectedly foiled when he falls for Marian Paroo, the town librarian. Meredith Willson's score features many popular standards including "Seventy-Six Trombones," "Shipoopi" and "Till There Was You." Coupled with the show's quirky characters and wonderful ensemble moments, The Music Man has become an American institution.  Music, Lyrics and Book by Meredith Willson
