Free A Little Day Music Concert

Da Camera of Houston’s long-standing A Little Day Music series of free lunchtime concerts continues in the Grand Foyer of the Wortham Theater Center, Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at noon. This month’s free program features the Fischer Duo comprised of Norman Fischer, cello and Jeanne Kierman Fischer, piano. In honor of the centennial of Olivier Messiaen’s birth, which Da Camera celebrates on December 9 with Visions de l’Amen at The Rothko Chapel, the Fischer Duo will perform the Louange à l'Éternité de Jésus (Praise to the eternity of Jesus) movement from the Quartet for the End of Time. A Little Day Music is sponsored by Waste Management. The media sponsor is KUHF 88.7 FM and a KUHF personality hosts the event.
